Jade's 100!

Jaden had his 100th day of shool last week. One of the activities was that thet were able to dress up like they were 100. Can you figure out which one he is?
The cane was made for him from Papa Jerry. Thanks to an old tree and some creativity. Here, though, his friend Tyler gets to use the prop. Thanks Papa! The kids had a great time being old with your thoughtfulness!

hint: he is the one dressed up as the little old lady. Cute!

Here are a few more Christmas pics. A little late, I know. The aftermath...
Yep. I got to clean it up. Darn you, Santa. Think this through, would you?
Ma & Pa Averett!

Easton is loving the box to his new boots!

How could you not love this little boy? Still probably his favorite Christmas gift today. He loves the beanie, scarf, and mittens. He wears them at least once a week. He is so funny!

For Christmas, the boys got cameras, yes, they are real cheepies and they dont' seem to work real well, but the boys are thrilled. They are used to my camera that you can just take a picture and it takes it right then. So, then they move onto the b=next target. This one isn't as quick. They have had a lot of fun, though.
This is a picture of Mr. and Mrs. Clause. You can see they are pretty blurry. Jaden was very excited when he saw this pic. becasue he knew what it was and knew it was his camera hooked up!

Crandmas floor! Thanks, Stanton. It is pretty clear, though.
Christmas was great. We were visited by Santa and cleaned up!!! I think Jade was a little concerned. We were happy that we currently still have a job and things are busy for Jason. In today's market, that is a huge blessing!

SNOW DAY IN DIXIE!!!

It's a girl! Jaelin finally has her girl-even if it is made from snow! The boys were not okay with it at first, but decided she could still be a knight and protect the castle. (I guess we live in a castle-cool!)

Jason fell off right after this pic, but I won't show you that one. He had fun on his ten minute stop home!

Stanton, dad and Toby. They too fell during this run. But, I liked the action shot in this one.

Jaden finally brave enough to try it on his own.

Yesterday all the schools closed for a snow day! It's been almost ten years since the last snow day, so we had a lot of fun playing in the snow. We are not well equiped for this type of weather, so we did our best. Jason came home for a quick lunch break and they slid down the hill out front using a snowboard. They had a blast and enjoyed coming inside the warm house for hot cocoa and the fireplace. We are glad these days don't happen too often. But when they do, we try to have a lot of fun!

Jason

My husband is so amazing! Thanks to him we have so much fun in our marriage and life. He is always one to crack a quick joke and make others feel comfortable. I am so grateful to be married to him. He makes life wonderful and never dull! He is one of a kind. Thanks, Jason!
This is our second Thanksgiving and he is very full already, as you can tell. He took the Turkey Platter and started to pile his food on it. This made it so that everyone else had to eat Turkey out of the Roaster (My moms oven doesn't work, so she cooked it in this silver roaster). His stomache doesn't always look this way, he is sticking it out quite well! Date of delivery? unknown

I have not been very successful in my goal of a new post on the blog every week. As we all know, some weeks are crazier than others! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving (actually, two of them) and a WOO HOO of a Black Friday. Some of those people are just insane! Others, we make great friends with as we stand in lines. I was able to go with Joyce and Erica and Micah for part of the time. These girls are troopers. They never really want anything, but go anyway because it's tradition! Lucky for me. The wierd thing is that I don't get a whole lot of things for the boys, Jason's lot always seems to increase on this day. Oh well, I must be really grateful for him taking the day off to let me shop while he plays corral three boys and keep the house intact. He does pretty well for the most part!
Here are some random pics so that I can say I actaully posted this week!
The boys really love to take the camera around and snap at everything. So, here I am with my gorgeous front door behind me.

jaden didn't stay on the ball for too long. They all so far were blessed with my grace-or lack thereof. poor things!

Caught Orange Handed? He and Stanton found an ink refill and enfoyed making a very large mess. He does look like he knew he was in for it!

This has got to be one of the funniest pics I have of Stanti. Jason was taking them up to the mountain and it was really early and would be chilly up there while they were there. Stanton refused to wear anything that remotely matched or was practical. So this is what he spent the day in up there. I did make Jason take other clothes, but everyone was happy and nobody found any reason to change. What a silly boy!

First Trophies...

Jaden participated in the Harvest of Talents for 3-D art and photography. (It's like the Reflections contests put on by the PTA)
He made a darling bat out of a pumpkin. He painted it and made wings and ears. He got second place for this. We are lucky that the pumpkin survived this long. It was so squishy and gross just getting it out og the school!
He also took two photos of my rosebushes outside and he took first place and second place.
He did really well and was so excited to go up and get his trophies at the assembly. It was a fun surprise and he had fun creating these things!
